China is a coastal country with rich marine resources. Our research, management and production departments have acquired a lot of acoustic detection data, thanks to the national strategies of sea and rapid development of acoustic detection technology. However, how to express these data is still worth studying, which can promote scientific research and engineering practice.This thesis aims at the visualization of data acquired from seabed acoustic detection and developed a visualization system. The main work is as follows:1. Used the GPU texture buffers to solve the problem caused by inconsistencies resolution between side-scan sonar image and multibeam data. This method avoids the latency caused by repeated transmission between CPU and GPU when loading large amount of data in the video card.2. Studied the modeling of deposition and erosion landform. Based on analysis of the shallow bottom profile data, this thesis proposes the modeling of deposition and erosion landform using similar triangular prism.3. Developed the three-dimensional visualization system. This program can show multi-beam data, side-scan sonar image and stratigraphic data in the same three-dimensional view.The system developed in this thesis can be used in the seabed stability evaluation and the result show that the method proposed in this thesis is effective.
