Swertia mussotil Franch belongs to Swertia of Gentianaceae. As the basic“Dida”of Tibetan medicine the whole part of which has been directly used in clinical curative for a long history. Recently pharmacological research on it has found that its decoction and the compounds have clear curative effect to hepatitis,vasodilation and immunoregulation. In order to provide pharmacodynamic material bases on identify what the elementary elements are in remedying disease such as hepatitis. This experiment makes extraction and separate analysis about N-butanol extract of Swertia mussotil Franch.We got the Extract of Swertia mussotil Franch by methanol,the best conditions: solid-liquid ratio of 1:6,refluxing extraction for 2 hours,extraction times 3 times. Then suspended the dry extractum with distilled water and extract with Petroleum ether、Chloroform、Butyl alcohol by order.Six elements has been got by applying column chromatography and,TLC,recrystallization and indentified through NMR,seven structures of the compounds were as Isoorientin, Mangiferin, 7-O-[β-D- Pyran-Rhamnopyranosyl-(1-2)-β-D-Xylopyranose]-1,8-hydroxy-3-methoxy xanthone 、 oleanolic acid,1-O-[β-D- Glucopyranose-(1-6)-β-D-Glucopyranose]-8- hydroxy-3,7-dimethoxy xanthone,bellidifolin,1-hydroxy-3,5,8-trimethoxy xanthone.
