CoAl2O4 belongs to one of the spinel material and is widely used in pigment. This paper, using Solidification and precipltation as its main research methods, successfully produced Cobalt system ceramic pigment which stays stable under high temperature.Such eqipments as XRD、Uv-Vis Spectrometer and Spectrometer are employde to display the structure of the sample、Uv-Vis reflection property and pigmentation.The Solidification studies the compound temperature; it also discusses the performance of the complex Cobalt blue as well as its influence on pigmention in glaze. The test shows that the best temperature for Cobalt blue pigment is 1280℃and ZnO -CoO-Al2O3 system pigment is 1300℃; when Zn2+︰Co2+=0.5︰0.5 , the ZnO- CoO- Al2O3 system pigment is purest in color. The introduction of mineralization agent will lower the compound temperature of the pigment. when Zn2+ and Mg2+ are used to substitute for part Co2+ to form complex Cobalt blue pigment, both its pigmentation and performance are improved.The precipation also studies the compound temperature. In addition, it discuusses the catesory of material、density of solution、the precipitant catestory、trtration time and the type of washing water as well as how temperature affects the composition、structure、and color of the ZnO- CoO- Al2O3 system pigment. The test shows that the best temperature of Cobalt blue pigment is 1200℃; and ZnO -CoO-Al2O3 system pigment is 1300℃; when the solution density is 0.3 mol/L、and the Ammonia water is used as precipitant、and the trtration time is 1.5h; when Zn2+︰Co2+=0.5︰0.5, the ZnO- CoO- Al2O3 system pigment is purest in color; when the Zn2+、Mg2+ in Co0.5Zn0.5Al2O4 are replaced by Mg2+, it is found that Mg2+ takes the place of Co2+ and when Mg2+ the solution density is 0.1 mol/L, the effectiveness is the best.It is found that the ZnO- CoO- Al2O3 system pigment can keeps stable in basic glaze, and the different glazes have certion infuence on pigmentation, and the ZnO- CoO- Al2O3 system pigment is most stable in Calcium Barium glaze, and is less stable in Calcium Zinc glaze, and the least stable in Calcium Magnesium glaze, and the stability in glaze which contains much Sodium borate proved to be in bentween Calcium Zinc glaze and Calcium Magnesium glaze; when Zn2+︰Co2+=0.5︰0.5, the pigment produced form Solidification is less stable in base glaze than that from precipation.
