Gas gathering station is one important part of the gathering-transport system. Guaranteeing the station’s safety is the priority in the daily work. Considering the flammable and explosive nature of gas, there has a big risk on its storage and transport. On this case, the gas gathering station becomes a major hazard. If the safe accident happened there, it will bring great heavy casualties and property losses. Ensuring the gathering-transport system safe and stable operation in the allotted time, under specified conditions tend to be an urgent problem. Reliability analysis can solve this problem.Through analyzing & summarizing the reliability theory and methods, this paper expound the purpose, needs and goals of the reliability analysis. It also developed the technical route of the research.This paper has established the system reliability model of the gas gathering station. The main equipments’failure probability has been calculated which led to the reliability and failure probability of the gas gathering station.This paper considers the risk elements of gas gathering station from the aspects as process-flows, station equipment, site safety management and environmental factors. It sets the fault tree model and qualitative analyzes the model later; it gets the minimum cut-set, and makes sure all the failure modes that can led to top event. The main factors about the failure of gas gathering station are analyzed.Fuzzy theory has been used to evaluate the result of expert estimation works on the failure probability of basic event. The failure probability of top event is calculated by fault tree fuzzy analysis in the paper.Types of accident about failure of gas gathering station, such as leakage-spread, fire, explosions, are researched here. The consequence model of failure malfunction includes natural gas leaks, gas diffusion model, models of physical explosion and chemical explosion, the consequence models of leakage-spread, damages and casualties.Result analysis of gas gathering station has been made by the software of PHSAT, from which can gets the concentration distribution of leakage-spread, the affected region of fire and explosion, and the related factors analysis.Based on the conclusion of the summary of reliability analysis, the paper raises the content for further research at last.
