Correlative Complexity Analysis Of Tobacco Main Chemical Index And Cigarette Style Sensory Evaluation

Sensory evaluation method of Chinese cigarette style is an important basicresearch content of some major projects that including cigarette style characteristicstudy, tobacco products category construction, inheritance and innovation,and so on.The application of modified multiple correlation analysis in Chinese style cigarettesensory evaluation studies can be used to analyze the degree of correlation betweenthe main chemical indicators of cigarettes and sensory comfort index, characteristicsof neutral aroma style. To some extent, this method can be used to overcome thedisadvantages of the multiple correlation coefficient statistical indicators.In this paper, the modified multiple correlation coefficient is used in the processof research. The multiple correlation coefficient comes from the sample correlationcoefficient.The modified multiple correlation coefficient is applied to sensoryevaluation data for tobacco style.Analysis between35major chemical and sensory comfort index show that: thenicotine has a high degree of correlation with sensory comfort index in differentsample. So the nicotine can be used as a key chemical index for sensory comfortevaluation.Analysis between tobacco neutral aroma constituents and cigarette stylecharacteristic index sensory comfort index show that: in the process of analyze themajor factors on cigarette style characteristic indexes, the neutral aroma chemicalindex that should be controlled are5-vinyl-dihydro-5-methyl-2(3H)-furanone, benzylbenzoate, eugenol4-allyl-2-methoxy-phenol, ethyl vanillin, vanillin, α-terpineol, andso on. They have a significant role to the cigarettes neutral aroma characteristicsevaluation.To screening and control the chemical index which have a main impact onsensory comfort and style neutral aroma characteristic, can help to improve thequality of tobacco, enhance the quality and competitiveness of cigarettes, help tohighlight and strengthen the Chinese cigarette brand style characteristics, thus promoting Chinese cigarette category brand building and cultural innovation.
