With the continuous development of Chinese social economy and the acceleration ofurbanization, food waste treatment has increasingly drawn the government’s attention.However, problems of food safety caused by food waste like illegal cooking oil still existdue to the lack of effective regulation, which pose a serious threat to people’s health. Theregulation of food waste collection and transportation is the guarantee of theimplementation of3R (reduction, reutilization and recycling) treatment. The internet ofthings (IOT) regulatory technology combines comprehensive, intelligent and dynamiccharacteristics, which can effectively overcome the drawbacks of traditional food wasteregulation. Therefore, the establishment of food waste collection and transportation systembased on IOT regulatory technology is the inevitable trend of social and technologicaldevelopment.This thesis analyzed the IOT regulatory system in food waste collection andtransportation form the perspective of risk management, mainly focusing on riskidentification and risk assessment. The identification of risk factors was achieved usingbrainstorming method. The IOT regulatory system risk can be divided into two categories:characteristic risk and conventional risk according to the characteristics of this system,which specific for technical risk, equipment risk, social risk, economic risk, operationalrisk. A list was drawn to show the19kinds of risk factors of IOT regulation in food wastecollection and transportation. A comprehensive evaluation model of analytical hierarchyprocess and fuzzy comprehensive evaluation (AHP-FCE) was established for riskassessment, which determined the weight of each risk factor and the risk level.A case study based on the project of food waste collection and transportation inYantian, Shenzhen was carried out. According to the information of the project and thelocal actual situation, the thesis did risk study on Yantian’s IOT regulatory system in foodwaste collection and transportation. Then the evaluation results were analyzed form theperspective of risk management, control the high-risk factors and reduce the risk ofaccidents. The risk research on IOT regulatory system in food waste collection andtransportation in this thesis has a reference value on the establishment of IOT regulatorysystem in food waste collection and transportation in other cities.
