In recent years, influenced by coke serious overcapacity, cokingenterprises are low in economic benefits. They rely mainly on reducingcoke production costs to enhance market competitiveness, while theircoke-ovens charged-coal cost accounts for more than85%of the whole costof coke production, so the relevant coal blending technology research willplay a crucial role in the development of coking enterprises.Through the research of various advanced coal blending technologiesat home and abroad, relying on the existing production coke ovens and coalpetrography testing instruments and other facilities, and after manyexperiments, the former coal blending scheme is optimized, thus the lowcost coal-blending scheme for first-level coke production is confirmedto produce marketable coke; Meanwhile, under the precondition of costreduction, steady quality and efficiency improvement, through many timesof40kg testing-coke-ovens test and iron box test, the anthracite,non-stick coal and other non-coking-coal are successfully used in cokingproduction to widen the coking coal resources; Furthermore, the test ofadding modified pitch and coal tar slag into ovens charged coal for cokeproduction is implemented to reduce the high-cost fat coal and coking coalbeing blended proportion; In addition, coke for methanol gasification isproduced to reduce its coke ovens coal cost also.Due to the lack of coal blending technology and equipment, its studyof coal is only limited to evaluation of coal by petrographic analysis,and it only relies on40kg test coke oven and coking-coal s routineanalysis to guide its coal blending, which leads to the coal property andcokeability awareness lack of in-depth research of single coal and mixingcoal, and restricts the guiding function of coal blending technology forcoke production practice. Based on this, it is suggested that ShanxiCoking Company update and perfect its existing coal blending facilities,research on coal coking properties, coal and coke microstructure toestablish its database and build up mechanical strength and hot strengthof coke with blended coal in combination with coking process to directcoke production, thus Shanxi Coking Co., Ltd. will reach the advanced level of the scientific coal blending technology in Shanxi Province.
