Food waste has high content of easily degradable organic matter and “mature”landfill leachate rich in ammonia, anaerobic co-digestion of food waste and “mature”landfill leachate, the buffering capacity of the system can be improved. Not only cansolve acid suppression and ammonia inhibition during they anaerobic digestion alone, but also can get high quality biogas. The experiment by monitoring the pH, volatile fatty acids(VFAs), gas production, gas composition to evaluate the stability and gas production performance of the system, also using three-dimensional fluorescence spectroscopy(3DEEM) and ultraviolet-visiblespectroscopy(UV-Vis) to research degradation of dissolved organic matter(DOM).The experiment results showed that:(1) Anaerobic digestion of food waste alone when load≥40g TS/L, and anaerobicdigestion of leachate alone, anaerobic digestion failure; and cumulative gas productionwas only1030mL.(2) When the total mass=1500g, vaccination rate=20%,anaerobic co-digestion offood waste and “mature” landfill leachate The optimum conditions are: food wasteload=40g TS/L, the initial Ammonia concentration=2000mg/L, biogas yield andmethane yield was0.84L/g TS,0.375L/g TS respectively, increased by569%and3465%,in comparison with food waste treatment alone, cumulative gas production andcumulative methane production reached94.32%,74.77%of the theoretical valuerespectively.(3) When the total mass=1500g, vaccination rate=20%, the initial Ammoniaconcentration=2000mg/L iffood wasteload≤30g TS/L food wastecompletely degradedthe proportion of fluorescent substance increased if food waste load≥50g TS/L highload resulting in anaerobic digestion failure. (4) When anaerobic co-digestion of food waste and “mature” landfill leachate, ifthe system can enter in normal methanogenic phase, fatty chain-containing substanceto be used effectively, A253/A203increased, however, the content of aromatic substances, related with food waste was completely degraded or not, SUVA254was uncertain; Ifanaerobic digestion failed, most of the remaining organic material was fattychain-containing substance, the content of aromatic organic compounds reduced,A253/A203and SUVA254reduced.
