Ecological Environment Protection Of Chongqing Based On The Theory Of Ecological Footprint

Resource, environment and ecology is the foundation of survival and development. The economic construction of Chongqing has made great achievements since the crown. Urbanization and industrialization of Chongqing developed rapidly and people’s living standards continue to improve. But at the same time, the ecological environment has been deteriorating in Chongqing, arable land decrease, water loss and soil erosion, regional energy shortage, air pollution, water pollution seriously influenced the sustainable development of Chongqing. Making quantitative analysis of the ecological environment in Chongqing to find out the main factors of ecological environment deterioration and assess the ecological environment sustainability and safety in Chongqing has important significance to the ecological environment protection in Chongqing.This paper used the ecological footprint model and took Chongqing as the research object. Based on Chongqing statistical yearbook and China statistical yearbook in 1998-2013,we calculated and analyzed the ecological footprint of Chongqing in 1997-2011.Then we used ecological footprint per GDP、diversity of ecological footprint and development ability of ecological economic system development ability to evaluate the development ability of ecological environment in Chongqing. At last we put forward measures to protect the ecological environment in Chongqing by combining with the present situation of the ecological environment in Chongqing.
