With the Continuous development of textile technology driven by automation technology, continuous improvement of people’s living standards, original extensive textile production of knitting equipment has been unable to meet current demand. This article introduces a computer socks machine control system, which could meet the requirements of textile processes、weaving faster 、stable performance and highly scalable.According to the status of development of cotton socks knitting technology at domestic and foreign, composition structure of computer socks machine and implementing agencies to control requirements, proposed a new control system solutions——using a platform of ARM + FPGA realize a modular computer socks machine control system. The whole system including two parts: the upper computer and the next crew, this article focuses on the design of the upper computer. First this paper introduces the design of overall program about the upper computer and selection of the main processor and coprocessor; Secondly, the realization of upper computer’s hardware solutions are described in detail; combined with the architecture of computer socks machine control system introduces weave pattern algorithm; then the upper computer’s software design have also been described in detail.On this basis, debugging and reliability analysis for socks machine control system; finally summarizes about this paper, proposes outlook to the development prospects of computer socks machines and shortcomings of this study.The upper computer designed in this paper, with ARM as the main processor and transplant μC/OS-III operating system, simultaneously FPGA as a coprocessor. Using the touch screen instead of a physical keyboard, at the same time transplanting em Win graphics software achieve interactive interface. Based on the analysis of the control object, combined weaving process and algorithms to design system tasks. Achieve the process of sending knitting command to lower machine, then control the action of execution unit. Communication between the upper computer and the next crew used CAN bus.The PC platform designed in this topic can be expanded versatile modular platform applied to other textile machinery. It has advantages of easy to upgrade, strong expansion, small size, low cost, good versatility. Control system of Computer socks machine described in this paper has advantages of rational design, high integration. At the same time it has some practical value and broad application prospects. To improve the automation level of the kitting industry has acertai practical significance.
