China is the world’s major consumer and producer of coal, coal energy always occupy a large proportion in the energy structure in China, supporting the economic development of our country. Because of the complexity of China’s mineral resources environment, the lack of enterprise management and the lagging development of rescue technology, make the coal production accidents occur frequently, give a serious threat to the lives of coal workers, and restrict the further development of China’s economy.In the mine disaster relief communications, there are many problems in the underground communication equipment now in the domestic and foreign country, which easily affect by the disaster and cause the communication interrupt. After the disaster, the trapped workers often cannot use the existing communication equipment communication with the rescue workers timely, which become useless in the process of rescue effect, so it is urgent to design a new kind of communication device with high performance。Based on the transmission characteristics of vibration signal in solids,the research workers of the project carry out the research of the signal transmission by using mine rail,achieve a system designed for emergency communication by using rail after the collapse, gives the system design and circuit design and completed the principle prototype development. In the system design, from the safety, effectiveness and saving, this article use the MCU(Micro Control Unit)to generates vibration signal and then transmit the vibration signal through the incompletely damaged rail. Finally, use vibration sensor to pick up signals and emergency communications are ultimately achieved.This article proposes to use the vibration signal as a transmission signal, use the rail as the signal transmission medium, demonstrate the feasibility of using vibration signal and its implementation scheme. This article contain five parts, system design, circuit, vibration signals processing, experiments and analysis, summary and outlook. This article first describes the overall design of the system, makes the feasibility analyze of the system, gives the overall framework of the communication system. Then give the detailed design and circuit implementation of the every module of the sender and receiver, complete a principle prototype production. According to the characteristics of the transmission signal in the rail, this article makes a research of the vibration signals in the rail, uses the matlab to simulate the vibrationsignal and achieves by DSP,finishes the processing of vibration signal finally. Then using the principle prototype in the field and analysing the experiment results. At the end of this article,this article make a summary of the problems of the communication system and give a outlook of the future research.According to the testing, the communication system can achieve the purpose of transmitting signals. By the system designed for emergency communication by using rail after the collapse,the problem that ensure the effective communication between the trapped workers and the rescue workers can be sovled. It provides a new idea and a new method in solving the emergency communications issues in tunnel collapse rescuing. It has a bright application prospect and great value of practical and economic.
