Since the ancient times, the urban river is the core of the city cultural heritage, business development, and leisure and entertainment, it is the important element of the city, it is also important to promote the development of the urban function space, it has not only accumulated a profound historical cultural deposits, but also is the important history, cultural and tourism resources of the city, which including water, river, river channel and landscape-belt on both sides. While, with the rapid economic development and the urbanization process accelerating, living and industrial wastewater were drained off into the urban river arbitrarily without treatment, the garbage was piled up at random, which makes rivers and inland river water seriously polluted, microbial species decreased, ecosystem damaged, water self-purification capacity decreased, the environment deteriorated on both sides of the river even stinking, and then river lost its original function. Therefore, the riverway treatment is gradually brought to the attention, and need to be governed urgently. In order to grasp the whole river water quality status, solve the pollution problem of the urban river and put forward effective and reasonable treatment scheme, it is needed to have a more objective understanding of the sources of pollution in riverway and the degree of contamination of the water, so it is necessary to carry out continuous monitoring of the urban river water and water quality assessment.Baodingfu River is one of the major and typical urban rivers with a living area, markets, hospitals, gas stations and enterprises in Baoding, whose water quality has a representation. Fu River is one of the Baiyangdian source in the upper reaches of it. Fu River water quality has a great impact on the water quality of Baiyangdian. Understanding the Fu River water quality status, will not only provide a data basis for the river remediation, restoration of river functions but also play a important role for future improvement of water quality in the Baiyangdian Lake.Firstly, the study is based on the Baodingfu river as the research object, which select from Nanguan Bridge to East Second Ring Jiaozhuang Bridge in Lianchi south main street. Determined six sampling sections, the Baodingfu River typical pollution factors were continuous monitoring. Using artificial detection to detect several indicators, such as the water temperature, dissolved oxygen, pH, turbidity, chemical oxygen demand, ammonia nitrogen, total nitrogen, total phosphorus, then the results are recorded.Secondly, the test results of four contamination factors that chemical oxygen demand, ammonia nitrogen, total nitrogen, total phosphorus were consolidatedor and analysis. Summed from time, space, season to obtain the temporal and spatial variation of Baodingfu river’s typical pollution factors, and the effect of external factors on the changes in water quality.Thirdly, combining experimental data and variation, using quality identification index Baodingfu river water quality was evaluated, including water levels evaluation qualitative evaluation of comprehensive water quality comprehensive water quality over time and spatial variation evaluation.Evaluation results show that water quality of Baodingfu river are worse than Grade V and is the severe pollution.Through continuous monitoring Baodingfu River water quality and water quality assessment, we can not only more clearly and accurately grasp the water pollution situation in Baoding and the surrounding rivers, but also lay the foundation for river improvement, rational development, utilization and protection of water resources.
