Motor is the most important machine in modern society which can realize electromechanical energy conversion or change the power characteristics of the mechanical, and it is widely used as motivation and drive device, the motor’s performance good or bad has a crucial role in normal production, Therefore, testing and fault analysis and diagnosis has become imperative. Virtual instrument technology is an ascendant testing technology, which is simple and flexible to formate, and convenient to maintain and upgrade, etc. In this paper, virtual testing and fault diagnose of motor were realized based on Lab View which is development environment of virtual instrument. This paper describes the composition of motor vibration test system, sets up the system hardware platform, studys the sensor system and data acquisition system parts, analyzes the data acquisition of the relevant technology and complete the acquisition process design. What’s more, original collected signals are pre-processed,and the larger fault points of the signal are removed. In addition, vibration signal processing methods of motor are researched deeply, includes Fourier transform and time-frequency analysis, especially AR model,MA model and ARMA model that the three model spectrum estimation methods. Moreover,it is studyed emphatically that the application of cepstrum analysis method in vibration signal processing. For the motor characteristics of vibration signals, cepstrum analysis method which is based on Autoregressive Model is adoped.Firstly, through analysis finds the best steps of AR model, and gets relevant parameters, according to which cepstrum transformation can be executed.Experiments show that this method can eliminate the "frequency ambiguity" phenomenon, quickly and accurately extract the needed spectrum information.
