Large-scale manufacturing equipment is the basic facility in manufacturing industrial chain which reflects national extreme manufacturing capability and manufacturing level;therefore, it is the important guarantee of national economy and national defense security. Due to its high efficiency, considerable mechanization degree and remarkable energy and material saving effect, double column forging hydraulic press is considered to be one of the major developing directions in free forging equipments and vigorously researched and applied in every country of the world. Structure type of double column forging hydraulic press falls into two major categories, one is the oblique push down and the other is the oblique pull down,and the large scale double column forging hydraulic press gives priority to the oblique push down.In forging process of the pushing high-speed forging hydraulic press, there inevitablely appears the state of eccentric load on account of multi-factor such as the shape of the workpiece, temperature departure, material non-uniform and so on, and also because of the equipment’s heavy working load, so the pushing high-speed forging process has a higher request for the partial load resistance. The maximum allowable forging eccentricity is the important parameter to measure the partial load resistance of the pushing high-speed forging hydraulic press.Plunges of working cylinders and movable beams in the pushing high-speed hydraulic presses are all connected by ball joint connection structures. Yet current research results are lacking of influence analyses for spherical hinge’s self-locked condition on eccentric forging force’s transmittal mode, which leads to difficulties for eccentric forging’s analysis model in reflecting constraints on hydraulic press’ eccentric forging effectively and makes the lack of theoretical basis of the maximum allowable forging eccentricity’s determination as well as;therefore, it brings serious hidden security danger for the use of hydraulic press. This topic plans to build a mechanical analysis model of large scale double column free forging hydraulic press’ eccentric forging based on spherical hinge’s rotating self-locked condition in working cylinder and make a study of large scale double column forging hydraulic press’ maximum allowable forging eccentricity.Spherical hinge’s rotating self-locked condition which connects plunge of working cylinder and movable beam in the pushing high-speed hydraulic press was analyzed theoretically as an emphasis and its virtual simulation was made by ADAMS software;Accuracy of the theoretical analysis is verified and it is ensured that spherical hinge which connects plunge of working cylinder and movable beam can meet its self-locking condition in eccentric forging, so the spherical hinge is a rigid connection. Based on spherical hinge’s rotating self-locked condition, the mechanical analysis model of the pushinghigh-speed hydraulic press’ eccentric forging was established. Conditions satisfied the reasonable eccentric forging of hydraulic press was analyzed and thoughts determined the maximum allowable forging eccentricity of the press was made clear. It points out that when spherical hinge meet its self-locking condition, the eccentric forging force will act on frame beam by passing the press’ movable beam and its working cylinder. The mainframe and working cylinder both bear the whole forging force respectively, and the partial load resistance of working cylinder is obviously weaker compared to the mainframe, so the partial load resistance of working cylinder will be the key factor to restrain the eccentric forging ability of the press. Based on the research, this paper analyzes the maximum allowable forging eccentricity of the pushing high-speed hydraulic press in enterprises and its working cylinder’s partial load resistance, and thus the feasibility of research results is made clear.
