The Idea Of Environmental Education Legislation In China On The Background Of Ecological Civilization Construction

Therefore, environmental education is very necessary.Education is essential to environmental protection, and it is impossible to implement and develop the environmental education without the laws and regulations. Throughout the world, the countries and regions where environmental education laws have been formulated, have promoted the development of the environmental education in varying degrees, and improve the citizens’environmental awareness effectively. The achievements of United States, Japan, Brazil and other countries, in the field of legislation on environmental education, are worthy of our careful research and deep study.Compared to other countries, the environmental education in our country develops relatively slow, and the legislation of the environmental education practice is still in its early stage. You can only find some legal provisions scattering at some laws, lacking of operability and easily to become a mere formality. Under the new situation calling for construction of socialism ecological civilization and a harmonious socialist society, the legislation of environmental education is very urgent, for it will ensure the smooth development of the environmental education. Therefore, I think, under the condition that we have a good understanding of the present situation on environmental education, it is necessary to enact specific environmental education laws suited to our national conditions, and we can draw the experience and lesson of other countries. Our final goal is to form a society in which everyone has awareness of "protecting the environment, starts from me".
