Research On The Citizen's Environmental Awareness And Its Education In Shanghai

As environmental problem is becoming the hot topic all around the world, it is imperative to improve the environmental awareness of Shanghai citizens. To bring the education of their environmental awareness into life-long education is of big significance and it can greatly help people to establish ecological and harmonious city. Environment protection is also one of the top agendas in the 17th CPC National Congress and the 11th National People's Congress. The government has put special emphasis on ecological civilization, which require people to strengthen their environmental awareness, and to change their incorrect behavior and ways of living. Based on feature of environmental awareness and forming rules, this thesis starting from academic and practical significance, probes into the contents and methods of environmental awareness education. Furthermore, on the basis of sufficient investigation and analysis of Shanghai citizens' environmental awareness and education actuality, this paper has studied some important matters: the relationship between government and environment protection organization, between educational methods and legal methods, and between publication and long time training, etc. In order to discourse the environmental awareness education of Shanghai citizen, this thesis has been divided into four parts:Chapter one: introduction. This chapter is mainly about the source, background and summary of domestic and abroad literature. In addition, this part has clearly indicated that the study of environmental awareness education can not only perfect the theory of adult pedagogy, but also widen and enrich the content of consciousness education theory.Chapter two: the related theory of environmental awareness education. This part has analysed the features of environmental awareness and its forming rules. Furthermore, it has studied the significance, content and ways of environmental awareness education, the view point that environmental awareness education is the foundation of environment accomplishment education, the important content of life-long education and brought forward the methods for developing prevalent education and behavior education.Chapter three: Analysis for the investigation of the citizen's environment awareness and its education of Shanghai . On the basis of questionnaire investigation of Shanghai citizens'environmental awareness and actuality, this part has responded and explained the actuality of Shanghai citizens' environmental awareness. from the analysis it firstly found that the environmental awareness in shanghai is better than any other cities in China, but it lacks public awareness responsibility and self-participation awareness.Chapter four: thought on the problem of education of citizen's environmental awareness . based on the investigation, the author proclaim the idea of life-long education together with the particular renovation.
