Currently, Su X block faces the problems of serious effusion and weak drainage ability of gas wells. These problems have seriously restricted the gas well productivity and affected the increasement and stabilization of the production in the block. Plunger gas lift for draining gas exploitation technology studied by the paper is a method that takes advantage of the intermittent switch of wells to accumulate reservoir energy, and then pushes the plunger up and down reciprocating along the oil pipe to discharge wellbore fluids for natural gas exploitation. The experiments of plunger lift have been carried out in some gas wells producing water of the block. In order to inspect the effect and applicable conditions of the technology, ensure the increasement and stabilization of the production of the test wells, achieve the better economic benefit, and extend the applicable range of plunger gas lift, it is necessary to analyze and research the key technics of plunger lift.Based on the comprehensive investigation, the paper carried out a dynamic study of plunger gas lift process, established a dynamic model of the various stages of working process, and put forward a numerical solution for the motion equations of plunger. According to the results of dynamics analysis, the factors affecting the process were analyzed; the process parameters were optimal designed; the conditions of technology utilization were established. On the basis of advance theoretical research, combined with the actual conditions of the block, equipments and matching devices of the technics were discussed and selected; the installation flows and construction steps of the technics were also clarified. In order to develop the advantages of unattended operation and automatic control of plunger lift, data acquisition and monitoring system of plunger lift wells was established basing on the gas gathering station. The establishment of system which contains hardware disposition, configuration software development and communication system design is used to achieve the function of real-time data acquisition and emergency shutdown of remote plunger gas lift wells.Through the study of plunger gas lift technology, it has many advantages such as high drainage efficiency, convenient installation and maintenance, etc. The technology fits those water producing gas wells which have certain reservoir energy and high gas-liquid ratio. Plunger gas lift technology can be widely used in study block according to the research achievements. The establishment of monitoring system can develop the advantage of automatic operation of plunger gas lift well. Debugging and application in the field of the study area can be carried out in the future.
