The development of modern science and technology on the properties of the materials have become increasingly demanding, so that a single material can’t meet the actual application requirements, which will promote the rapid development of metal matrix composites. Carbon fiber reinforced aluminum matrix composite material with high specific strength, specific stiffness and good high temperature properties and dimensional stability, receives more and more attention. At present, due to the continuous fiber and carbon fiber reinforced aluminum matrix composite materials because of the complex preparation technology and the high cost of the research work in this area is not much, especially in the carbon fiber cloth reinforced research in the field of metal matrix composites is basically in a vacuum state.In this paper, by way of the inert atmosphere protection brazing preparation of carbon fiber cloth reinforced aluminum matrix composite laminates, the room temperature tensile properties of the composite laminates, and on the analysis of composite laminate layer interface and the tensile fracture surface were observed, to explore and optimize the preparation technology of Cf/Al composite brazing process, analysis of the types, brazing solder the temperature, carbon fiber woven patterns, and the carbon fiber surface plating quality on the performance of the composite effect. The following are the main achievements:(1) The protective atmosphere brazing of aluminum matrix composite laminates were prepared by carbon fiber cloth reinforced, a new process for preparation of continuous fiber reinforced aluminum matrix composite.(2) On the basis of preliminary experiment, The L9 (34) orthogonal experimental design of NOCOLOK solder protective atmosphere brazing of Cf/Al Composites, To get the best brazing process:T=590 C, t=15min, P=5Kpa, the amount of solder is 0.13g/cm2, fiber bidirectional woven cloth, copper coating with good quality. The tensile strength of composite laminates at room temperature can be obtained with this method for 89.7MPa, in the use of bidirectional carbon fiber woven cloth as reinforcement, the tensile strength is 59.6MPa.(3) Preparation of Cf/Al composite laminates using a good Al-Si solder protective atmosphere brazing process for:T=590 degrees, t=15min, p=5KPa, the amount of 0.13g/cm2 content, fiber bidirectional woven cloth, copper coating with good quality. The tensile strength of composite laminates at room temperature can be obtained with this method is 77.4MPa.(4) From the analysis of tensile curve and the interface of SEM scanning electron microscope pictures showed that the interfacial bonding between carbon fiber and aluminum substrate with solder, solder are the weak interface, through the interface to external fiber bundle transfer effect is not obvious, the tensile properties of the good or bad depends mainly on the welding quality. Therefore, the carbon fiber cloth protective atmosphere brazing prepared to enhance tensile strength of aluminum matrix composites has increased, but did not reach the expected value. Secondly, the tensile strength is much lower than the calculated composite law theoretical value, carbon fiber was damaged heavily in pretreatment and surface plating and brazing process, the tensile strength decreased significantly.
