In recent years, the output of tempered glass in our country is very big, but some problems exists in the production process of tempered glass, such as the low product quality, high energy consumption and so on. Glass tempering furnace is one of the most major equipment of production the tempered glass, to research the temperature and flow field of the glass tempering furnace is the premise of reasonable design and improvement of tempering glass furnace and production more efficient and energy saving glass tempering furnace. First, the article discusses glass tempering process, the heating glass tempering furnace and the research status of the glass tempering furnace. the article analysis the relationship between the level of development of glass blew, and introduce Horizontal Roller Temper production lines.Secondly, tempering furnace heat transfer and flowing gas were established a mathematical model by numerical heat transfer and fluid dynamics theory. Then use CFD software Fluent14.0 to do numerical simulation of temperature and flow field in the glass tempering furnace. According to the total radiation heating glass tempering furnace structural features in the process of simulation, it is simplified into a two-dimensional geometric model, using Laminar model and DO radiation model. The tempering furnace heating process were selected three typical time points to simulated calculation the temperature and flow field of the gas inside of glass tempering furnace. By computer to calculate and get the distribution regularity of the flow field and temperature field of gas within the three time points. Finally, the paper concluded that change rule of inside furnace gas of furnace heating process.Studies of the subject let us more clearly understand the inside situation of the total radiation heating glass toughened furnace, This will provide an important reference for the radiation of more efficient forcing on convection glass tempering furnace design.
