Because of low-cost, easy to develop and development flexibility SOPC technology occupy a certain position in the embedded system development, and become a new trend in the future. This article is based on the original inkjet printer control system. For the motion control system of the original nozzle car is expensive, sports and printing data correction is complicated to operate, the demand of the data transmission format in new nozzle, we improve and redesign the control system. Achieve to use the digital system design of Japan’s Seiko Group IRH1513D digital inkjet printer. Reduce the cost of hardware, the difficulty of the Control software for the preparation, improve the speed of the data processing, simplify the hysteresis calibration and horizontal position offset calibration.Based on the nozzle structure and detailed analysis of the conditions use, establish the SOPC as the core of NIOS Ⅱ soft processor, combine FPGA-based digital logic control and peripheral devices to form a complete control system. For the purpose of reducing hardware costs, we use the DC motor instead of the servo motor to control the rotation of the DC motor. In order to satisfy the data transmission requirements of the nozzle arrangement, we design a new FPGA-based data cache and a shift transmission mode. In addition, through the independent ignition to eliminate a lot of data redundancy, conduct hysteresis calibration and horizontal position offset calibration in the calculation of the firing range.we use Verilog language and Altera Quartus Ⅱ 11.0 software to complete the design on the series of cyclone Ⅱ EP2C8Q208C8 chip, then through third-party Model Sim-Altera 6.6d software simulation, and download to the chip to complete a board-level debugging.
