With the increasing of open-pit mine in our country, in open-pit mine slope stability problem is more and more cause the attention of more people. The stability of open-pit mine slope is directly related to security and economic interests of mining enterprises. Therefore, the slope stability problem is always the key point of the engineering research. According to different slope problem, should take the most appropriate method for research of the system, and to ensure that people’s lives and property. In Jianshan iron mine slope west mining area as the research object, from the aspects of theoretical analysis, numerical simulation, a detailed study of mine slope stability of the system, the concrete content is as follows:The first Through to the mining geology, mining area engineering geology, hydrogeology and environmental geology condition analysis and field investigation of mine slope, mainly discusses the factors affecting the stability of the slope Jianshan iron ore mine west mining area, namely:groundwater, atmospheric precipitation, structure formation, earthquake, blasting vibration, mining depth, it is concluded that the influence of various factors on the slope stability; According to the actual situation of the mine production at the same time, combination of west mining area mining slope failure mode of the on-the-spot investigation, summarizes the mining slope possible failure mode.The second Jianshan iron mine west mining area are calculated by the safety factor, and allow the safety coefficient of comparison, it is concluded that under the condition of the current state of the slope stability.
