the development of economy and the continuous expansion of automation system which request the monitoring system can support distributed applications; the ability of real-time data monitoring and control is more accurate and reliable; the capacity of data storaging and processing is stronger; the quantity of graphics is more and more; the quality of graphics is more elegant and the operation is more humanized. So that the centralized monitoring and control system and client/server architecture can not meet the corresponding requirements, which makes a distributed monitoring system of multi-motor work arises at the historic moment.This paper main researches a kind of supervisory system of large sewage treatment control system which can deal with 1 million cubic meter sewage per day in a city, and discusses the problems about computers,controlling and network. The supervisory system designed meets the requirements.The whole supervisory system is designed based on distributed concentration technology of multi-sever and multi-database, chooses FactoryTalk View Site Edition(also called FactoryTalk View SE) which is specially designed for distributed system as the configuration platform, collects the field real-time data using RSLinx and OPC communication protocol. On this basis, this supervisory implements the following functions: Real-time data collecting, image animation displaying, trend curve drawing, equipment alarming and data stored and query. At the same time, the supervisory system chooses the intelligent database management platform for data management to ensure the data record accuracy of the system, uses the server redundancy technology to ensure that the central server can run continuously when the faults occur.This design combines network communication technology,redundancy technology,distributed network technology and database technology,etc, composed of a set of monitoring system which includes high comprehensive performance, good real-time performance and good user experience.this system has started a test run, and through the quality acceptance of the quality supervision department, The various operation parameters meet the design requirements. The supervisory system fully meets the requirements of large automatic control system.
