Offshore cranes play a key role in the oil recovery production process and its failure will result in huge economic losses. With the expansion of the oil production capacity, frequency of failure increases obviously when the crane works continuously. Traditional hydraulic test equipments, with a complex test process and poor test accuracy, cannot manage the heavy work of offshore crane repair and maintainance.To resolve this problem, a distributed supervisory system for the hydraulic test bench based on PLC is developed. The master station is PLC300, while the slave station is ET200M. In this way, it succeeds in obtaining data from the modular bench and controlling the bench. Meanwhile, use IPC as the host computer, and develop a friendly human-machine interface based on WinCC. The master and slave stations, upper and lower computers comunicate through PROFINET. This architecture makes full use PLC’s high reliability and IPC’s high speed of data analyzing and processing.Chapter one introduces current research status and trend of the hydraulic assisted test (CAT) technology domestic and abroad, as well as the research background and significance. Main research contents of this paper are also presented in this part.Chapter Two mainly describes the integrated hydraulic test bench. With the analysis of specific modules and the hydraulic system’s principles, requirements of the control system are fully awared. In addition, analysis and simulation verification of the power revovery system are conducted.Chapter Three mainly pays the attention on the hardware of the system. It contains three parts:PLC control system, distributed low-voltage distribution system and the video monitoring system. PLC control system is the core and the design process consists of IO demand planning, selection of PLC module, the design of wiring diagram.The fourth chapter mainly describes the software system’s design. Software system is divided into upper and lower computer part. Based on structured programming ideas, the lower computer part is constructed with STEP7. The specific work contains analyzing each test processes, sorting similar parts, and packing programming blocks. Some key functions blocks are discussed in detail. The upper computer part is given by four parts:test interface configuration, connect dynamic objects, design the alarm system and remote logining system.The fifth chapter begins with the presentation of overall system’s functions.Aimed at demonstrating the the effect of the supervisory system, a detailed description of running-in experiment with gear pump is given.Chapter6provides a brief summary and outlook of this subject and ideas on futrue work is also put forward.
