The rapid development of urban economy led to a large number of domestic and industrial sewage, waste water treatment can not only solve the problem of water pollution in the city, even more important is to achieve the reuse of water resources, alleviate water scarcity. In order to reduce the unit cost of sewage treatment and improve water quality, sewage treatment must adopt advanced control technology to improve the treatment capacity of urban sewage treatment plants, urban sewage treatment capacity to achieve automation.This paper discusses the design process of The New Sewage Treatment Plant in Chengdu (1st,2nd Plant relocation) of large sewage treatment control system. This paper analyzes the wastewater treatment process and A2O inversion process, with a sewage treatment control system based on distributed PLC Ethernet/IP integrated design, according to the sewage treatment process and control requirements, the entire sewage treatment control system design 14 distributed master-stations,57 distributed sub-stations, each station distributed field devices, such as flow meters, ultrasonic level meter, PH meter and temperature of the water quality data collection; using Rockwell’s ControlLogix 1756 and CompactLogix 1769 Series PLC station as distributed data acquisition and control unit, each distributed control stations using Ethernet/IP-based communications network, to achieve the appropriate section of the sewage treatment process monitoring; station according to the processing technology and control requirements, on-site execution institutions such as the high pressure water pump, submersible converter, electric control valve, blower, etc. start/stop control and regulation. In order to improve sewage treatment control system operability in the design of distributed control stations based AB PanelView series touch screen monitor on-site host, and use optical Ethernet-based distributed control station is connected to the Factory TalkView Studio configuration software center control room, sewage treatment plants to achieve decentralized control, centralized management, unified scheduling.Through on-site commissioning of the project to achieve the normal operation of sewage treatment plants, reached acceptance criteria. The sewage treatment plant has been put into operation, the system is stable, highly automated production efficiency, water quality is good, to achieve the desired control objectives. The design and commissioning of the project for the design of other large urban sewage treatment control system provides a useful experience.
