It has been eight years since Yangzhou was first awarded the title as the city of China plush toys. In these years, the plush toys industry has become one of the characteristic industry in Yangzhou. However, the toy industry is based on OEM(Original Equipment Manufacturer)with low value-added products. Nowadays, the toy manufacturing industry is facing a severe situation. Developing their own products play an important role in the development of plush toys industry in Yangzhou.The author in this paper summarized and generalized the theory contents related to development of plush toys by field trip to take in the development status of Yangzhou plush toys industry and putting forward relevant basis theories of development of plush toy independent products in Yangzhou. The author also analyzed the advantages and disadvantages to develop plush toy independent products in Yangzhou and put forward some suggestions on the basis of the analysis and the relevant theories of bionics, design psychology, color psychology. Last but not least, the author brought forward reasonable suggestions for the promotion of products with a reference to marketing, and strived to make a contribution to plush toy independent products with the characteristics of Yangzhou, also play an active role in brand building and industry transformation of Yangzhou plush toys industry.
