Nowadays plush toy as a new kind of toy reflects the peculiarity of the national culture, at thesame time, the situation of modern social life and humanism can be known from it with thisdifferent cultural background and history factors. Plush toy is also regarded as designer’s thing.With the continuous development of technology and the promotion of cartoon industry, plush toynot only gradually get rid of the traditional sculpt but also be created in more kinds of forms. Thestrike of popular culture makes the toy go with time. Sometimes it is easily found that the design ofrun car is easier than that of toy. A car designer should clearly know the needs of a car buyer, so thetoy designer should clear what kind of toy children like, after all a five-year old boy always has hisown ideas. So this paper mainly analyses the generation after80s, of course, I am one of them. Ifinally complete the experimental work by analyzing the design characteristic and developmenttrend of plush toy.The whole growth period of80s is developing with country market economy and thetransformation period of social consumption. In recent years, in the group of80s shares a kind of“nostagia”, and this generation may have kidults emotion, they do not want to grow up, there are alittle bit childlike innocence in the inner world. They love that so much that some of them becomethe collectors. Some have their own business, for example, model shop, toy shop, creative business,to be a creator and so on. This class of people always looks forward to freedom and independence.Through the market survey, many young people are very interested in the class of plush toy displayand also like to splice the toy together. So I want to make this kind of toy, and determined to put theelements of Beijing Opera into the design of Red guards’ clothing, that is to say, this is mix andmatch, when these two kinds of culture encounter, unprecedented inspiration can be freed.Albert Einstein says:“Imagination is more important than knowledge, for knowledge is limitedwhile imagination embraces the entire world, pushes improvement and is the source of knowledgeevolution.” So creative is extremely important for design. Change gives us new ideas. China is a bigcountry with large population and manufacture country, then it is a big problem to change its rolefrom “made in China” to “design in China”. If it is hoped that China has its own design market, itshould promote its own self-design ability. Of course, it is the big thing that each designer of Chinashould take into consideration. Plush toy is a multicultural product from rise to prosperity, and forus today it is not a simple toy any more, much more feelings of designers and artists are put in thenew toy, like a work with collective value.
