X-ray detection technology has been introduced to the fault diagnosis and condition monitoring of power equipment gradually, at the condition of without disintegration and power cut, which can conduct on-site real-time visualization detection on gas insulated Switchgear(GIS), circuit breaker, insulator, transformer and other power equipment. But the influence of X-ray radiation to electric power equipment insulation is uncertain, so the research of the influence of X-ray radiation on electrical properties and microstructure of epoxy resin solid insulation materials was put forward, under the condition of different power and irradiation time. It can give clear and sufficient basis for visual inspection of X-ray digital imaging detection technology to power equipment.In this paper, the main work is as follows:(1) conduct an experiment of X ray radiation on cured epoxy resin at the condition of different time and different X ray energy.(2) Analyze cured epoxy resin after X ray radiation using X-ray diffractometer and calculate crystallinity and grain size to study the microscopic structure changes.(3) Observe the cured epoxy resin after X ray radiation by scanning electron microscope to study the changes of microstructure.(4) Test electrical performance of the cured epoxy resin After X ray radiation to study the changes of electrical properties, and to explore internal relations between its electrical properties and microstructure.The results show that epoxy intergranular of cured epoxy resin after X ray radiation gradually began to loose and appear surface cracks; The crystallinity and crystal size decreased with the increase of radiation intensity and radiation time; Breakdown voltage, dielectric constant, dielectric loss and electrical resistivity were affected by different degree; Electrical properties of cured epoxy resin and micro structure were closely linked.
