Evenness of the gauze is one of the classical, effective and important indicators to measure axial uneven thickness and control the yarn quality. With the development of science technology, Lab VIEW as advanced equipment software, it is widely used in the research. It can make the testing of the quality of yarn more intuitive and more accurate, and achieve the index quantification.This paper proposes method of dealing with the uneven thickness of yarn by using Lab VIEW virtual testing technology and signal processing technology. In this paper, the design of testing and system is based on the new design of resistance strain sensor, multifunctional DAQ acquisition card (NI USB-9162), the software has included data acquisition system and Lab VIEW 2012.. It establishes a virtual test system characterized by intuitive quality and friendly man-machine interface. The design idea of virtual instrument, the resistance strain sensor is adopted in the development of system. This system makes full use of their low cost, high precision, high efficiency and improves the precision of the system. This system can realize the online testing of Diagram, CV value and Spctrogram, which is of great importance in achieving automated detection and improving the quality of evenness.
