It is an important development direction that intelligent design in the field of mold design. The traditional method of injection mold design exist some deficiency such as inefficient, tedious work of calculation, and the poor level of intelligence. In the design of injection molding core-pulling mechanism, the currently existing commercial injection mold design module can only be designed to provide the appropriate support for designers,before the core-pulling mechanisms are designed, the related parameters must be calculated manually by the designers first, and then the corresponding parameters set through the core-pulling mechanism design module, at last,the existed assembly model could be invoked to complete the design. On the choice of core-pulling mechanism type,the designers could only base on their own accumulated experience to choose the appropriate type in the system, because the related engineering experience is not integrated into the common module, and so it can not provide any valuable guide information for users.In order to solve the defects in the process of the injection molding core-pulling mechanism design, the main research contents of this thesis are as follows:Firstly, the knowledge experience and calculated formulas involved in the design of core-pulling mechanism of injection mold was summarized, and then the KF knowledge language was applied to express them.Secondly, the knowledge fusion technology of UG/KF, UG parametric modeling technology, and the secondary development tools such as Menuscript and UIstyler were combined to service the study, and then the summarized knowledge experience and calculated formulas were integrated into the development module of the core-pulling mechanism intelligent match and design system, and the KF knowledge rules, model calls and assembly process were wrote with the KF language.Thirdly, in order to achieve the function of the program convenient and easily, the script language of Menuscript was applied to write the system design and development menu file, and the human-computer interaction design interface was wrote with UG style tool of UIstyler. Through the interface of control input window to select and enter the related design parameters, through the system, heuristic match design information would be provided to users, and then complete the entire core-pulling mechanism design. this method realized the seamlessly integrated application of human-computer interaction interface with the combination of the 3D model, the procedures of KF and the menu tools of UG.Finally, in the thesis, an example based on an actual part was exemplified with the developed intelligent match design system, and the designed core-pulling mechanism for the part would be verified that it was valid in the design system. Based on the the results of the example, it shows that the system can not only meet the basic design requirements of injection molding core-pulling mechanism to a certain extent, and to a greater extent, it could alleviate the work burden of designers, and improve the efficiency of the design of the core-pulling mechanism. The system has strong openness and reliability for operation,and it is suitable for most of the designers to use in the injection molding core-pulling mechanism design.
