Chinese underwear industry developed rapidly in the past ten years, and with a more substantial rate of growth each year. The underwear market, the majority are women’s underwear, men’s underwear are one-third of women’s underwear, or less. The survey found that the majority of men’s are not satisfied of their own underwear styles, unfitness, color, etc., the annual purchase amount from 2 ~ 6. So men’s underwear with a good potential and development prospects in branch of Chinese garment industry. And the design of contemporary men’s underwear are towards comfort, fashion, personalized direction, structure design of science and technology to promote the development of the underwear is more scientific and reasonable. Different from the women’s underwear, men’s underwear mainly dominated men’s briefs, has its particularity, that is, the existence of spatial relationships in the crotch and the human body, the relations are not only closely rely on, and a loose weight. Contemporary, daily life type of men’s underwear is no longer in the traditional sense of modesty, warm, additional design concept more tends to shaping and personalized, which represents the male masculine at the same time, also show glamour. But the domestic market men’s underwear can seldom meet this feature or requirement. Even some men’s underwear can satisfy shaping, but neglected to meet the requirements of comfort. Therefore, according to the analysis of the status and the male psychology in China, the current development trend of the domestic and foreign markets based on men’s underwear, design men’s underwear structure more fit with the human body, to meet the comfort, fashion, personality of men’s underwear, it has great practical significance.The whole research of the main content of this paper is to "Body ─ underwear" system, which includes the evaluation of the performance of knitted fabric underwear, clothing comfort pressure measurement and prediction analysis, popular style collection and analysis, the new briefs structure design and optimization, the complete research system. The main experimental research topics include the following aspects: through the analysis and summary of domestic and international underwear styles, analysis of the relationship between domestic and foreign men’s underwear fashion style structure characteristics and the real body; pressure data measured of men’s underwear, briefs mainly covering points; subjective and objective evaluation of comfort by experiments entity and prosthesis; for objective measurement experiment of knitted fabric samples of men’s underwear, knitted elastic fabric respectively to six kinds of structure of KES fabric style evaluation test; using the statistics analysis method, the main objective analysis and experimental results, to estimate and forecast to get pressure performance index, ease, pressure comfort range, knitted fabric and knitted fabric regression model; using the function relationship between KES parameters and the clothing pressure, calculation of each part of knitted fabric ease comfortable range; based on the numerical range of comfortable ease range, using the pattern making method of new production of different knitting fabric, through the subjective evaluation and objective try on clothing pressure measurement, validate the feasibility and the specimen of the prediction results of fabric compression performance, comfort pressure value.Based on the pressure comfort, the theoretical analysis of fabric mechanical properties, and the experimental study of the new structure of the sample of the “body ─ underwear" system, draws the conclusion:(1) from male body pressure test, the abdomen and hip pressure generally larger than the other test positions, and there was a significant linear relationship between the various positions and fabric pressure;(2) underwear styles, fabric content and structure, body fat, body structure has some influence on the fabric pressure value and distribution;(3) in prosthesis experiment, due to the difference between the simulation of soft tissue and the real human body, the maximum average elongation(ease) knitted fabric can be 30 ~ 35 %; during the comfortable pressure 3.192 k Pa, then the maximum “push-up effect” can be 1.5 ~ 1.75 cm; maximum average fabric pressure value Pmax = 1.423 ~ 3.581 k Pa;(4) in physical experiments, in acceptable comfortable range of ease values, fabric maximum average pressure Pmax = 1.923 ~ 2.409 k Pa, under this knitted fabric samples may reach maximum average elongation(ease) was 15.56 ~ 18.33%;(5) has been get the significant statistical significance between the KES performance parameters of knitted fabric and fabric pressure, that the series regression equations of maximum fabric pressure value, fabric KES data, comfortable ease range; and examine the series of data.By research “body ─ underwear” system, get the various positions comfortable clothing data and prediction technique, to provide a reference for men’s underwear design.
