Eating Utensils Functionality Investigation Based On The Han Culture

Han culture is the largest and brightest culture system in the development of Chinese national.It affected all aspects of life that everything is filled with Chinese cultural figure,clothing, food, housing and transportation.While the design itself is mounted on a bridge between science and technology and culture and the arts.Design is therefore an important means of cultural heritage.This thesis will attempt to explore the significance of Han cultural to direct,and to search after new thingking and new approaches of traditional culture for utensil design.This paper is divided into two parts, the investigation of eating utensils and the research of Han culture.First of all, from the eating utensils’ perspective, this thesis through the development of eating utensils and these species to analyze the development of eating utensils for cultural cues.Then contrast with the development of modern eating utensils,it will summarize the culture status of modern eating utensils to highlight the necessity of the culture for eating utensils functional design.Finally,it will put forward the functionality of the eating utensils with new interpretations.In the next place,from the cultural perspective,this thesis will analyze and summarize the Han culture include its development,continuation and the status quo briefly.Afterwards,this thesis will search to the root of the core concept of Han culture and the relationship between the core concept of Han culture and product design.After that it will combine the core concept of Han culture and eating utensils functionality investigation by eating culture.Then it can advance the new ideas and new methods of functionality design of modern eating utensils based on the Han culture.At last,it will display the design of eating utensils under the new ideas and new methods.Through the investigation of eating utensils functionality based on Han culture,it will put forward constructive guidance for Han culture’s continuation and development. Meanwhile,it can improve the emphasis on the culture in the field of design.Integrate culture into design,and sublimate culture in the design.
