The building energy expenditure takes up the whole social energy expenditure, the 2/3 of which is induced by heating and air conditioning. To reduce the building energy expenditure, we can advance the EER of indoor apparatus and the heating-insulating performance of the building envelope. In this paper, investigating a thermal insulation textured coatings, and the textured coatings has the rich cosmetic and thermal insulation performance. The exterior thermal insulation textured coatings on building can effectively reduce surface and internal temperature of buildings. ①Compared with the traditional thin thermal insulation coatings, thermal insulation textured coatings have perfect decorative effect, the appearance of the textured coating is rugged; ②The modulus of elasticity and the coefficient of thermal expansion of the textured coating is similar to mortar; ③ Compared with the ordinary Exterior coatings, the thermal insulation textured coatings have the thermal insulation effect. In this paper, the basic formulation of the textured coatings is optimized, and the amounts of components of the textured coating is ensured. Then emploiing the solar reflectance simulation test method to study the thermal insulation properties of textured coatings. Lastly, through the calculation of the equivalent thermal resistance of thermal insulation coating and the energy consumption simulation to prove that the value of the thermal insulation textured coatings in the actual project is significant. The experiment results show that: in the study of the basic formulation, silicone acrylic emulsion TD661 has a perfect performance on the water resistance and the stain resistance. When the ratio of binder and aggregate is 1:4, and the graded of sands is the second group(10% 30 mesh sands, 30% 60 mesh sands, 60% 80 mesh sands), the tensile strength and the decorative effect is the best. The best admixture of coalescing agent TEXANOL is 0.8%, and dispersing SN5040 is 0.2%. The best mixed methods of slip agent is 0.25% cellulose thickeners and 0.15% ASE60, and the textured coating to keep best stability. The anti-foaming agent uses 0.2% F111 and 0.2% NXZ, and the coating does not have the shrink and so on.In the study of the thermal insulation performance of textured coatings, the following functional materials have good heat inslation effect: the best admixture of S15 hollow glass microspheres is 6%, and the temperature rise will reduce about 6.2℃; the best admixture of VS5500 hollow glass microspheres is 8%, and the temperature rise will reduce about 6.6℃; the best admixture of 1250 mesh infrared crockey power is 8%, and the temperature rise will reduce about 3.6℃; When 8% VS5500 hollow glass microspheres and 4% 1250 mesh infrared crockey power are mixed into coatings, the coating has the best thermal insulation performance, and the temperature rise will reduce 8.3℃. Using the cold pigmengt to color textured coatings is beneficial to the thermal insulation performance insulation properties of coatings much better than traditional pigment.According to the formula to calculate the equivalent thermal resistance of thermal insulation coatings in Chongqing area, and the value of it is 0.1~0.28m2·K/W. Then according to the value of the equivalent thermal resistance of thermal insulation coating, can calculate the correction coefficient of exterior wall heat transfer coefficient is 0.85. Making a analog computation on building saving of generic high-rise buildings in Chongqing, it is found that the exterior wall using the thermal insulation coating can reduce conditionals’ power consumption in summer, can reduce the thickness of thermal insulation materials.
