In view of the high energy consumption and not convenient for centralized control problems of the current gravure printing drying system, the purpose of this research is to design a kind of energy-saving and intelligent control system. This system has realized the centralized control of multiple units and the drying condition set in the upper machine can be adjusted automatically. It consumes less power and achieves better drying effect.By analyzing the reasons of high energy consumption of the current drying system and comparing the advantages and disadvantages of different control schemes, ultimately determine the energy-saving design scheme of the control system. Then three parts-the drying system power regulation, signal acquisition and intelligent control-are described in detail. In the whole system, the design of intelligent controller is the key point of this research. Through the simulation and comparison of PID, fuzzy control and fuzzy PID controller the results show that fuzzy PID control combines accurate tracking of PID and quick response of fuzzy control, while eliminating the need to build complex mathematical models. So the fuzzy PID control algorithm is used in intelligent controller design. Finally, the specific control circuit and control program and PC control system is implemented to verify this design scheme.Experimental results show that compared to the conventional drying system, energy-saving drying system reduced energy consumption by about 75% and the control system is more intelligent and humanization. Meanwhile the energy-saving drying system can produce cold air and reduce the volatilization of the organic solvent in the ink tank.
