The determination of ultimate state and the compilation of stripping plan are very important link in the design of open-pit mine, at the same time they are the basis for mining production and operation, and the key for getting as much as possible the economic benefits. The determination of ultimate state and the compilation of stripping plan need a whole considering many complex factors impacting on the overall effect such as the situation of mine resources, mining technical condition, mineral products sales price, ore mining and processing cost.Whole Optimization of Ultimate Boundary and Stripping Plan is used in this paper, and based on this idea, mining overall optimization model is established. On the basis of the definition of the optimal state, the geology of the optimal boundary sequence algorithm is designed. First of all, according to the buried depth of the ore bodies, the slope Angle and the surface boundary, the geometric boundary is framed. In order to reduce the amount of calculation, on the premise of not affect other ore mining module, some of the stripping ratio greatly module combination is deleted. In order to generate maximum stripping ratio, the geometric boundary is further narrowed. The last, under the condition of incremental volume and minimum state ore-bearing rock in ore, low grade module sets are ruled out, geological optimal boundary sequence are generated.Production plan optimization is done within a given state. First, the optimal mining geological body definition and principle are introduced. According to the set of technical and economic parameters, mining sequence is produced in the each realm, then to the mining sequence for dynamic sorting, production plan optimization is completed. Net present value of the largest state is selected from the final optimization results, which is called the state of the optima.Take Jiajiapu open pit mine as an example, MetalMiner software is used to produce a series of boundaries (a total of 16) and the boundary ore increment is 4 million ton, and in the state sequence mining plans optimization are performed, optimization of final state and mining plan is implemented at the same time. Under the difference in price and cost growth,whole optimization of ultimate boundary and stripping plan is performed,at the same time,realm,stripping plan is optimized separately. Then optimizing results are compared. The advantage of whole optimization is validated.
