The slope stability of open-pit mine is always the key technological problem in open-pit mine production, and has been the elementary sentence of rock mechanics and other related subjects. The stability of open-pit slopes is directly related to the economic benefits and safety production of open pit mining. So carrying out a deep-going way of the mechanism of sliding instability, as well as stability analysis on the high rock slope, has importantly theoretical and practical significance to ensure safe mine production.The engineering background of this article base on the east side slope of the Sijiaying Iron Mine Of Hebei Iron and Steel Group, through site investigation, experimental analysis, data integration, theoretical research and numerical simulation, etc. acquires mechanic parameters of rock mass of the east side slope and conduct rock mass quality classification, and builds three-dimensional geological model at the same time, use Geo-slope for evaluation of slope stability and propose prevention countermeasures. The propose research of this article is as follows:1. The east side lacking of geological data, through the site investigation and geological drilling, combines with existing geological data, and then the migmatized biotite leptynite is subdivided into strongly weathered, weathering, the breeze of three kinds, and to determine the engineering geological conditions of the east side. According to the three-dimensional laser scanning in the mine, applicate 3DsMax software to build three-dimensional geological model of the mine.2. Conduct the rock dynamic experiment, and acquire the physical and mechanical properties of rock. Using the 3 GSM digital photogrammetry measuring system, acquires the information of the structural plane and completes the rock quality designation. According to the results of the rock quality designation of the the east side,the east side is divided into three regions North, Central, Southern, Northern rock where the worst, and the district is slightly better, the best Southern District. Basing on the modified generalized Hoek-Brown strength criterion, acquires the compressive strength (UCS), tensile strength, Young’s modulus, cohesion and internal friction angle of rock mass.3. Build the geological model figure of the east slope, and choose the typical cross-section side in different areas of the east side to use the limiting balance method to calculate the safety factor, to evaluate its stability. The results show that the original design of the final overall slope factor in regional security N9-N15 is less than 1.15, less than the safety factor reserve requirements, but the N8 and N16 higher safety factor.4.According to the evaluation results and the lithologic characteristics in the east side, propose two measures to slowdown the slope, then use the software of Geo-slope Software to analysis slope stability based on these two governance measures, and gain the corresponding safety factor. Besides cut and slow down slope, but also need to combine water drainage and microseismic monitoring systems to ensure the stability of the east side.
