Abrasive water jet is a kind of special processing technology of cold cutting, green environmental protection, because of the particularity of the object and the machining process, has been widely used, especially for hard brittle materials processing, show the incomparable advantage over traditional machining method. In this paper, the high pressure abrasive water jet cutting hard brittle material in the smooth area cutting depth were studied, and analyzed the influence of process parameters on the depth of cut smooth area. And on the basis of experimental study on cutting depth of the BP neural network model is established and the simulation model of ANSYS /AUTO_DYN cutting depth of smooth zone to predict the cutting depth. The simulation of the process of cutting hard brittle material, through the comparison and research development and perfect the mechanism of abrasive water jet cutting of hard brittle materials.In this paper, through theoretical analysis of abrasive water jet and the single grain of abrasive particle simulation, studied the mechanism of abrasive water jet cutting of hard brittle materials. Studies showed that jet divergence effect makes the abrasive the main factors that impact materials with different angles. Large Angle hit abrasive,abrasive erosion of small Angle and water wedge effect is the main factor of hard brittle material damage.The single factor experiment of cutting hard alloy material by abrasive water jet,get the influence of machining parameters on the cutting depth. Through the orthogonal test and the variance analysis and range analysis of four factors influencing the relationship between primary and secondary abrasive water jet cutting depth and significant.In this paper, based on the BP neural network and MATLAB as auxiliary tools,model of abrasive water jet cutting depth for the systemic research, And analyzes the reason of error.Abrasive water jet cutting hard brittle material in the process of simulation belongs to high speed, large deformation problems. Based on SPH algorithm of abrasive water jet cutting carbide material cutting depth simulation, ANSYS/AUTO_DYN software modeling and simulation, and analysis of simulation results, the relation between the jet pressure and cutting depth. Respectively by euler algorithm and SPH algorithm of abrasive water jet cutting process simulation, simulation results demonstrate tmain influence factors of pressure jet cutting hard and brittle materials in abrasive jet.
