With continuous development of science and technology, adopting advanced automation equipment in industrial and mining enterprises will be an important method and measure to improve enterprise’s economic and security benefits. The relay-controlled control system in old-fashioned belt conveyors is increasingly substituted by new control system due to its large volume, multiple faults and slow response. The new control system composed of PLC, featured by its repeatedly used internal contacts and relays, fast response, simple structure, small volume and little fault, will be widely used instead of the traditional control mode.This Paper conducted PLC Distributed-control technology design for main belt conveyor in underground coal mine, mainly aiming at the design of PLC Distributed-control systems in nine belt conveyors, based on the renovation project of underground main belt conveyer raw coal transportation system in Jizhong Energy Fengfeng Group Dashucun Mine. This Paper collected basic data of the nine belt conveyors, carefully analyzed their present operating status, and finally worked out the control requirements of PLC control system required by belt conveyor and confirmed the protection function of each conveyor.This Paper took full consideration of the characteristics of coal mine safety production process during the design of PLC Distributed-control system, realized system centralized control, enhanced PLC control capacity and upgraded the comprehensive automation level in safety production.
