The transportation cost of open-pit dumping accounts for more than 40% to 50% of the total exploitation cost of ore, it makes the dumping transportation become the crucial factor restricting the development of open-pit enterprises. So, it is significant to the development of enterprises that establish the optimal scheme for dumping and reduce the transportation cost of open-pit dumping.Different dumping schemes have different costs. At present, the open-pit dumping schemes mostly rely on the experience of engineers to establish, but there is no more mature method to establish them to minimize the total transportation cost. I transform the problem of minimized cost into the problem of minimized transport distance of rock, and I put forward the concept of the Most Optimized Spoil-bank:the smallest total distance area in dump which can stack the stripping rock of stope in one stage. And based on the greedy algorithm, this paper proposes a scheme to search the minimum transport distance in the process of dumping-the Most Optimized Spoil-bank searching algorithm, which searches the most optimized dumping spoil-bank in the each planned period. We construct a normal cone with cone selection method based on the dumping block model. With the shortest distance as standard in current production conditions and the dumping block model as basis, search one by one, and discriminate each block in the dumping. The most optimized spoil-bank, when the stope strips rock in the all un-optimized period, is generated respectively.To achieve the above optimal schemes, the paper designs a digital deposit model of the mining area with 3D mining software and exploits an optimal program with Visual Basic based on the theory of the Most Optimized Spoil-bank Searching Algorithm. Application of the optimal program to the 3D deposit model can achieve the dumping automation and visualization. Combined with the actual production of a certain open-pit phosphate and the optimal result of stripping, the decade dumping transportation plan is optimized by applying the dumping optimal program, then the practicability of optimized program is verified. The optimal scheme generates 10 optimal spoil-banks, an optimal scheme of decade dump, determines the flow and its direction, which are mined from the boundary of all blocks to each bench dumping under the minimum distance, and eventually concludes that the total transportation cost of mining area is 251.05 million RMB.In this paper, the dumping optimal program achieves programmability and visualization of the dumping transportation optimal scheme. The optimal scheme is a mode for optimizing the open-pit, a reference for reducing the transportation cost. The program with high practicability and value of popularization, meanwhile, it can bring up considerable economic benefits.
