With the national economy into a period of adjustment, there are more requirements of railway, wind power and electrical equipment because of the expansion of the infrastructure. The demand of machine tool industry is promoted indirectly by such requirements. At the same time, it has a relative rigid demand of advanced machine tools because of military industry, aerospace and other industries. As a manufacturer of CNC machine tools with high technique, EMAG’s Product is mainly used in automobile manufacturing and matching products, railway industry, machinery manufacturing industry and aerospace industry, renewable energy, electricity and oil industries. With the development of the machine tool industry and intensified competition from market, the delivery period, quality and cost performance of the machine tool is concerned by the customers.With huge demand from market and the degree of meeting customer needs is continuous improved, the research of lean production in assembly flow line is necessary. Then, it can make the production with characteristic of capacity targeting, time quantification, finished good producing fast and high stability of the quality. As a result, output, quality and efficiency greatly are improved.The research focuses on study on lean production in assembly flow line for V type reverse turning machine. The work of this thesis is as follows:1. It expatiate the total function of machine tool which is based on the investigation of turning center market segments and the user demand analysis. Then, it researches the method of functional analysis, setting up serial type spectrum and rang of parameter and main parameter for machine tool. Finally, it should be reasonable design for functional and structure module division. Afterwards, it can complete design for module construction and library of module.2. On the basis of modular design for machine tool, it researched the processing routing for base model with consideration of procedure of machinery, sheet metal, hydraulic, electric and inspection in V type of turning center. It is 8 hours as a desired production take time and 14 workstations as a target. The balance between workstation in mixed flow line is confirmed by studying of balance for assembly flow line and taking ECRS principle.3. It is clear to see the logistic system in sequential delivery way is guaranteed and optimized by carrying out JIT and milk-run system. After considering the productive characteristics of machine tool industry is short run and multi-product, the special material supply system with rhythmical feature for machine tool assembly flow line is established.4. It is focus on lean production procedure of shop floor management in assembly flow line. Through implementing 5S system and on the job training which is combined of multi-skilled and standard operation procedure as the core of personnel training is concerned, it can keep continuous improvement of assembly flow line.
