With continuous oil and gas resources exploitation, the resource competition is more and more fierce. Under the more severe environment, only the oversized load drilling and extraction can get higher yields. The necessity of Ultra-deep drilling rig (above 7000 meters) is becoming the trend of the development of the rig derrick and substructure. Derrick rig and substructure are the important part of the equipment of derrick raising and the core part of the supporter of drilling facility. The security strength analysis for derrick rig and substructure is the protection of drilling working smoothly. Therefore, study on static characteristic of ultra-deep drilling rigderrick and substructure is very significant.In this paper, ZJ80/5850D ultra-deep drilling rig derrick and substructure for the research object, according to its structural features, application ANSYS finite element analysis software to complete model derrick and substructure-building. Based on the latest 4th API Spec 4F "specification for Drilling and Well Servicing Structures" in the payload design principles, focusing on selected conditions 1、conditions 2 completion of drilling rigs and static characteristic of the overall analysis, obtained the stress distribution and structural distortion. and contrasted the result data to the field trial data.
