Shedding mechanism is one of the five mechanisms in the loom, it runs fast, has large load,consumes much power and needs to cooperate closely with the beating-up mechanism and weft insertion mechanism.At present,excellent shedding mechanism in our country mainly monopolied by France Staubli company, and domestic products still stay on the stage of imitation with similar products abroad, lacking of theoretical analysis and research of the system.With the improvement of the speed requirement of modern loom, exploring in depth the relationship between the shedding mechanism parameters and the shedding process requirements,studying shedding mechanism kinematic characteristics and load characteristics, have practical significance on providing the basis for the design and optimization of the shedding mechanism.This paper takes French Staubli company’s type 2658 dobby as the research object,analyzes the relationship between motion pattern of heald frame and each mechanism parameter in the type 2658 dobby by new loom shedding process requirements, explores the relationship between the mechanism parameters and shedding process features, specific work is as follows.1) Study the relationship between beating-up mechanism,weft insertion mechanism and shedding mechanism,and refine the process requirements of shedding mechanism according to the actual production needs.2)Draw the shedding mechanism diagram of type 2658 dobby, according to the shedding process requirements that have refined, analyze the design principle of that mechanism in different modules, obtain the relationship between the mechanism parameters and the motion characteristics,refine the key constraint conditions for designing mechanism parameters.3)Analyze the result according to shedding mechanism process features and movement characteristics,optimize the existing space spherical 4R shedding mechanism, improve the motion pattern of heald frame, change the motion pattern of heald frame from no static time to static time,expand the adaptation scope of that shedding mechanism.4)Three-dimensional modeling and kinematic analysis for type 2658 dobby are be taken by using Pro/E software. Calculate dobby shedding mechanism’s equivalent moment of inertia on loom main shaft under the condition of 4 pieces of heald frame,compare it to rapier loom’s beating-up mechanism and weft insertion mechanism’s the equivalent moment of inertia on loommain shaft,analyze the proportion rule.
