Photocatalytic regeneration of waste rubber is the joint action of ultraviolet lamp and photocatalyst to break the cross link in the waster rubber, instead of destroying its main chain, thus enabling the waste rubber back in shape achieves the purpose of regeneration and restoration. An experiment is done in this dissertation as follows:add different pieces of nano-zinc oxide into waste rubber powder, then expose the powder to high pressure mercury lamp whose power is 125W for one day, two days, three days, four days and five days respectively. The research shows that for two days, nano-zinc oxide is 15 phr, and the curing time is 10 minutes, the prepared reclaimed rubber would embrace relatively good physical properties, whose tensile strength is 9.33MPa, elongation at break is 262%.This reflects that photocatalytic waste rubber regeneration is feasible. This dissertation makes a research on process of twin screw extruder regeneration and mixing mill regeneration as well. The result shows that process of twin screw extruder regeneration works well in the regeneration of waste rubber. Through the above experiment, we find that when the irradiation time is 20 minutes, nano-zinc oxide is 15 phr, and the curing time is 10 minutes, the prepared reclaimed rubber would embrace relatively good physical properties, whose tensile strength is 9.33MPa, elongation at break is 262%.
