In this thesis, ten Schiff bases with adamantane group and eight Schiff base complexes were synthesized. These compounds were characterized by melting point, elemental analysis, IR, UV, 1H NMR. The structures of the compounds were deduced. In which four complexes were analysised by X-ray single crystal diffraction. The following work:1. Eight Schiff bases and their zinc(Ⅱ) complexes were obtained from amantadine or rimantadine and zinc(Ⅱ) chloride. The Schiff bases and zinc(Ⅱ) complexes were characterized by IR, UV, 1H NMR, and elemental analysis.2. The crystal structures of complexes 2, 3, 4 and 6, were revealed.2: Yellowish, monoclinic, space group P21/n; cell parameters: a=16.0086(5) A, b =11.0097(3) A, c=17.5474(5) A,α=90°, β =94.586°, γ = 90°, Z = 4, V = 3082.83(16) A3, F(000) = 2028, R1 = 0.0693, ωR2= 0.1998.3: Yellow, monoclinic, space group P21/c; cell parameters: a = 9.7812(5) A, b = 25.6198(12) A, c = 13.5526(6) A, α= 90°, β = 105.881(4)°, γ, = 90°, Z = 4, V = 3266.6(3) A3, F(000) = 2070, R1 = 0.0693, ωR2= 0.1998.4: Yellow, orthorhombic, space group Pbca; cell parameters: a = 11.1717(10) A, b =20.5888(15) A, c = 27.7381(18) A,α = 90°, β = 90°,γ = 90°, Z = 8, V= 6380.1(8) Aa, F(000) = 2070, R1 = 0.0702, ωR2 = 0.1533.6: Yellowish, monoclinic, space group Co; cell parameters: a = 12.8752(13) A, b = 22.9116(13) A, c = 12.5412(13) A, α = 90°, β = 119.602°,γ, = 90°, Z = 4, V = 3216.7(5)A3, F(000) = 2070, R1 = 0.0321, ωR2= 0.0689. |
