Schiff bases are an important class of nitrogenous compounds, organic ligands with a variable structure, easy to synthesize and modify.Schiff base complexes have the extensive use in bio-medicine,catalyzer and luminescent materials, etc. In this thesis, the six complexes 1-6 were synthesized using two Schiff bases C20H29NO2(L1),C22H33NO2(L2)derived from 3-ethoxysalicylaldhyde with adamantyl amine(amantadine or rimantadine)and cobalt(II)chloride hexahydrate, copper(II)chloride dehydrate, zinc(II)chloride. These compounds’structures were characterized by melting point,UV,IR,1H NMR,elemental analysis and molar conductance. The single crystal structure of complexes 1,2,3,and 6 was obtained by solvent evaporation method.Their structures were revealed by single crystal X-ray diffraction. In the process of synthesizing monocore cobalt complexes, the metal cobalt clusters were obtained by changing the reaction temperature and prolonging the reaction time, which provides important base and remarkable significance for the exploration of the reaction conditions and the structure of the complexes.
