Three dimensional woven composite material is a kind of advanced and new type of composite material. The composite material not only introduces reinforcing fiber in thickness direction, but also introduces reinforcing fiber in width direction, which can improve the overall mechanical properties of composite materials, and it has good comprehensive properties, such as anti tear, penetration resistance, high energy absorption and so on, which is widely used in civil engineering, aerospace, shipbuilding and other industries.The virtual prototype technology is more effective than the traditional one in the design of three-dimensional woven spacer fabric loom, which has the advantages of high efficiency, short cycle, low cost and many advantages. In the 3D design software UG, the parametric model of three-dimensional loom is built, and the model of the machine and its mechanism are analyzed. Then the finite element analysis of the relevant parts is finished in Workbench ANSYS. Through the seamless interface between the software, data conversion, collaborative design, simulation analysis, parameter optimization, optimization design and motion control, etc., these can make the machine work performance excellent.In this paper, the parametric function model of the five main mechanisms of the three-dimensional spacer loom is built in the mechanical system dynamics simulation software ADAMS. Using 3D design software UG, the 3D spacer loom and its mechanism are modeled and assembled. And then the simulation analysis and research of the virtual prototype of the three dimensional spacer loom are carried out in the ADAMS software,and the finite element analysis of the related parts is completed in the Workbench ANSYS.The subject of this paper is to study the three-dimensional spacer loom as the research object, mainly from the following aspects of the research:Firstly, the structure and principle of 3D fabric is designed and introduced. There are many kinds of 3D woven fabrics, such as Orthogonal fabric, multiple layers fabric, spacer fabric, Multi axis fabric, Heavy fabric with double direction, the angle interlock fabric and so on. The weaving principle of different woven fabrics is slightly different. The second chapter will discuss.Secondly, a new structure of the fully integrated frame is designed and the heddle.adopts new Liquid crystal polymer(LCP) materials.It has excellent properties such as high modulus, high strength, high stability, high temperature resistance, insulation, flame retardant, low linear expansion rate, radiation resistance, chemical corrosion resistance,etc.. The heald frame material is selected for aluminum alloy heald frame and width to300 cm, in order to make the structure more stable, improve heald frame fatigue resistance,the intermediate support is designed.Thirdly, the shedding mechanism of the three dimensional spacer loom is designed.Three kinds of shedding mechanism of three dimensional looms are proposed, and the structure of the 3D woven fabric is introduced.Forthly, optimization design and simulation analysis of weft insertion mechanism. In this paper, the design and simulation analysis based on the ADAMS and ANSYS is proceed, and multi-rapiers and telescopic rapier weft insertion mechanism are designed.Lastly, modal analysis and optimum design of the frame of the three dimensional looms is carried out. In order to improve the dynamic characteristics of the machine frame,a parametric model of the three dimensional loom frame is built based on Workbench ANSYS platform. The natural frequencies and mode shapes are obtained by modal analysis.In this paper, the design of the three-dimensional spacer loom is completed by using the virtual prototype technology, which provides a theoretical basis for the design of the spacer looms, some of which can be used on the loom.
