Since Metal corrosion causes dramatic economic loss and even endangers life safety, the metal corrosion resistance has been increasingly demand in the market.Rust inhibitor is one of the most common and most effective way to prevent metal corrosion currently, environmental protection and energy conservation, Safety, environmentally friendly water-based rust inhibitor has become the hot topics in the field of research.For this study, Q235 steel rebar is used ubiquitous rust corrosion problems, films prepared by an environmentally friendly water-based anti-lot single factor and orthogonal experiments, with homemade modified styrene-acrylic emulsion into rust. Using a variety of characterization methods to explore its antiseptic properties, such as heat experiments, brine experiments, the neutral salt spray (NSS), electrochemical methods and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) tests. And finally it gained a topcoat test to see whether supporting the use of paint.By single factor experiment explores film formers modified styrene-acrylic emulsion formulation (ωt%), of which 19% butyl acrylate, styrene was 20%,0.7% acrylic,6% modified substances,1.5% emulsifier, initiator of 0.5%, phosphate functional monomer is 3%, pH value of the buffer 3%.Followed by orthogonal experiment explores the homemade rust inhibitor formulation (cot%), of which 50% film-forming agent A, B inhibitor 1.5%, additives C for 8%, surfactant D was 0.5%, and distilled water 40%. Using the pull ring rust inhibitors were determined by surface tension 50.02mN/m. The use of film thickness measured rust coating thickness 12.33μm. Heat experiments for more than 96h, immersion time in 5%(ωt%) NaCl solution reached 24h, the neutral salt spray test to reach seven cycles. Tafel polarization curves show that the anti-rust agent coating can significantly improve the corrosion potential, by-1.018V steel sheet blank is moved to-0.524V, at the same time can significantly reduce the corrosion current density, from 3.28×10-7A/cm2 down to 7.80×10-9A/cm2, was reduced by about two orders of magnitude. EIS shows that after applying homemade rust inhibitor, can significantly increase the charge transfer resistance from blank 75Ω·cm2 increased to 1280Ω·cm2. Experimental results show that weathering rust rust inhibitor over six months. And topcoats experiments show that has a good supporting smear paint on the specimen smear of rust inhibitor. In short, homemade rust steel materials can play a good anti-corrosion effect, and low cost, and has good prospects.
