Ultrasonic wheat straw pulp is a new pulping process with the characteristics of short production processes, significant energy saving, high yield and good physical performance. As a new pulp, Ultrasonic wheat straw pulp has excellent strength and optical performance. In order to ease the shortage crisis of timber resources and achieve the sustainable development, it is significant to make full use of the non-wood raw materials and the ultrasonic wheat straw pulp. In our paper,the papermaking adaptability of the ultrasonic pulp were explored. The results were as follows.The optimal conditions of food packaging paper using ultrasonic wheat straw pulp is as follow:the adding amount of ultrasonic wheat straw pulp, AKD, CPAM, is 60%,0.25%,0.2%,respectively. The surface sizing consists of CS-1 surface sizing, aluminium sulfate(concentration 30%,dosage 2kg·t-1), oxidize starch(concentration 30%,dosage 2kg·t-1), and the optimum adding amount is 2kg·t-1. The performance of paper made by ultrasonic wheat straw pulp through press polishing is as follows:the water absorption is 25.9g·m-2, the tensile index is 44N·m·g-1, and the bursting index is 5.2 kpa·m2·g-1. The test value of paper have reached or exceeded the national standard first-class goods index of food packaging paper.Papermaking experiment obtained two kinds of single food board programe.The one:The optimal conditions of single food board using ultrasonic wheat straw pulp is as follow:the adding amount of ultrasonic wheat straw pulp, AKD, CPAM is 60%,0.6%,0.2%,respectively. The surface sizing consists of CS-1 surface sizing, aluminium sulfate(concentration 30%,dosage 2kg·t-1), oxidize starch(concentration 30%,dosage 2kg·t-1), and the optimum adding amount is 2kg·t-1. The performance of paper made by ultrasonic wheat straw pulp through press polishing is as follows:the water absorption is 18.433g·m-2, the folding edurance is 149, the resistance to bending is 3.04/1.4mN·m(longitudinal/transverse), the whiteness is 81.6%ISO, the smoothness is 59s,and the bursting index is 5.28kpa·m2·g-1. The test value of paper have reached or exceeded the national standards excellence in goods index of single food board.The anther one:The optimal conditions of single food board using ultrasonic wheat straw pulp is as follow:the adding amount of ultrasonic wheat straw pulp,AKD,CPAM is 70%,0.6%,0.2%,respectively.The surface sizing consists of CS-1 surface sizing,aluminium sulfate(concentration 30%,dosage 2kg·t-1),oxidize starch(concentration 30%,dosage 2kg·t-1), and the optimum adding amount is 2kg·t-1. The performance of paper made by ultrasonic wheat straw pulp through press polishing is as follows:the water absorption is 22.51g·m-2, the folding edurance is 90,the resistance to bending is 3.79/1.9mN·m(longitudinal/transverse), the whiteness is 83.4%ISO, the smoothness is 56s,and the bursting index is 6.8kpa·m2·g-1. The test value of paper have reached or exceeded the national standards excellence in goods index of single food board.Papermaking experiment obtained two kinds of multilayer food board programe. The one:Upper and lower layers, bleached kraft pine pulp:bleached kraft eucalyptus pulp= 30:70, AKD dosage 0.25%, CPAM dosage 0.2%.The core layer:The optimal conditions of single food board using ultrasonic wheat straw pulp is as follow:the adding amount of ultrasonic wheat straw pulp,AKD,CPAM is 100%,0.6%,0.2%,respectively.The surface sizing consists of CS-1 surface sizing,aluminium sulfate(concentration 30%,dosage 2kg·t-1),oxidize starch(concentration 30%,dosage 2kg·t-1), and the optimum adding amount is 1kg·t-1. The performance of paper made by ultrasonic wheat straw pulp through press polishing is as follows:the water absorption is 17g·m-2, the folding edurance is 100,the resistance to bending is 3.4/2.1mN·m(longitudinal/transverse), the whiteness is 79.7%ISO, the smoothness is 65s,and the bursting index is 6.3kpa·m2·g-1. The test value of paper have reached or exceeded the national standards excellence in goods index of multilayer food board.The anther one:Upper and lower layers, bleached kraft pine pulp:bleached kraft eucalyptus pulp: ultrasonic wheat straw pulp=20:40:40, AKD dosage 0.25%, CPAM dosage 0.2%. The core layer:The optimal conditions of single food board using ultrasonic wheat straw pulp is as follow:the adding amount of 2015,03,AKD,CPAM is 90%,0.6%,0.2%,respectively.The surface sizing consists of CS-1 surface sizing,aluminium sulfate(concentration 30%,dosage 2kg·t-1),oxidize starch(concentration 30%,dosage 2kg·t-1), and the optimum adding amount is 2kg·t-1. The performance of paper made by ultrasonic wheat straw pulp through press polishing is as follows:the water absorption is 18.54g·m-2, the folding edurance is 111,the resistance to bending is 2.85/1.95mN·m(longitudinal/transverse), the whiteness is 79.7%ISO, the smoothness is 57s,and the bursting index is 5.7kpa·m2·g-1. Wherein the longitudinal stiffness index slightly lower than the national standards excellence in goods index of multilayer food board, but higher than the national first-class goods index, other paper properties are higher than the national standard excellence in goods index.We preliminary think that it has good prospects for the ultrasonic wheat straw pulp instead of traditional wheat straw pulp to make food packaging paper. The ultrasonic pulping technology can be piloted and scaled up.
