At present, one of the most prominent problem in China’s coking industry is the contradiction between improving the quality coking coal and high quality coal resources.The characteristics of China’s coal resources are less strongly caking coal containing which of ash is high, and in the geographical distribution is extremely uneven.Therefore,with the iron and steel industrial restructuring and the development trend of large-scale blast furnaces, blast furnace coke quality requirements are higher and higher, the lack of coking coal resources and the the demand which is incompatible will become increasingly prominent contradiction. Therefore, that research and development and application of new technologies of coal preparation and coking coal has important implications on coking coal resources and coking enterprises existing conditions.Improveing techniques of coal preparation and coal coking, make use of the limited resources of coal scientifically and reasonably. There are a lot of improved coal preparation and coking technology measures. From the aspect of coal preparation, mainly adjust the coal blending ratio, crushing by choosing, crushing by groups, pre crushing process, change coal particle size distribution, bulk density increased coal, coke strength improvement; from the aspect of coking, can be used with rammed-coal coking, formed-coal coking, compacted-coal coking and other methods of compaction, increase the proportion of material pile;or changing the heating rate of coking by means of coal drying and preheating; also add oils increase the proportion of coal heap in the coal feed, add a thin crack coke reducing agent,etc.In this paper, through rammed-coal coking, formed-coal coking,coal feed pre-crushing and other techniques of coal preparation and coal coking industrial experimental study, analyzing the resulting coke ash, sulfur, porosity, cold strength, hot strength, study the influence of different coal and coking methods on the quality of coke, so as to improve the quality of coke.The results show that the response compared with the conventional coking process, rammed-coal coking and formed-coal coking and coal feed pre-crushing in different extent of coke quality improved significantly, can improve the coke strength after reaction, reactivity, the anti-crushing strength and abrasion resistance, in the same time it can realize the use of weakly caking coal replacing good bonding of fat coal and coking coal, to save the high-quality coking coal, expand the coking coal resources, to reduce the cost of coal blending, for our country to save precious resources, promote the sustainable production of coking.
