In this research, the material of polysulfone amide(PSA) and polyurethane(PU) were used to prepare nano-fiber and yarns by changing different spinning methods and spinning equipment. The single needle electric spinning equipment was used to prepare blengding nanofibers of PSA/PU. A novel approach and the related equipment of coaxial electrospinning has been developed to fabricate a new ultrafine PSA/ PU coaxial fibers at nano-scale, with the PSA as the core and the PU as the shell of the fibers. The blending PSA/PU yarns and the nano-wrapped yarns were prepared by a new facility of electric-spinning. The distribution of electric field under various spinning method were simulated by COMSOL software. The paremeters of electricspinning process were designed to meet the requirements of producing PSA/PU nanofibers. The nanofibers and yarns were characterized by different texts.PSA/PU composite nanofibers and PSA/PET yarns were prepared by built devices. The morphology and microstructure of the composites were analyzed by SEM and TEM; the composition of the composites fibers was measured by Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy(FTIR) and the crystallinity of the composites was measured by X-ray diffraction(XRD). Effects of nano-additices on the properties, such as the mechanical property and thermal property of composites were investigated by characterization method.The experimental results indicate that: The excellent performance of fibers and yarns can prepared by the single needle electrospinning, coaxial electrospinning and electrospinning nanofiber yarns. 1) The distribution of diameters of PSA/PU nanofibers prepared by single needle electrospinning method is between 80-300 nm and it changes with the changing of the viscosity of solution. The addition of the PU can obviously improve the strenghth of PSA. The thermostability of the nano composite fibers increased with the increasing content of PSA. The text of coaxial electrostatic spinning of PSA/PU shows that the residual rate of of pure is only 7.85%. When coated with PSA, the residual rate of core-shell fibers is at 35.63%. The data of breaking strength of pure PSA is only 6.45 cN/dtex. But the breaking strength of composites is higher. 3) Three series of PSA/PU composite yarn prepared by homemade electrospinning equipment can combine with the advantages of both two materials namely the heat stability of PSA and high mechanical properties. 4) The structure of core-shell yarns of PSA/PET is similar with the coaxial nanofibers which are composed of core and shell layer, which means they have similar function. PSA can effectively alleviate the damage of inner PET which is destroyed by high temperature, and PSA can improve the hygroscopicity of core-spun yarn.
