As one type of equipment used in the printing of cylinder and cone substrates, the surface offset press is widely used to print the surface of containers with food, chemical industry, medicine and other products. The core components of the press are the main frame and blanket cylinder, of which the static and dynamic performance will directly affect the printing quality, the efficiency and the stability of the highspeed machine. At present, researches at home and abroad mainly cast their focus on the offset press, while few on the high-speed surface offset press.By analyzing the structure and working characteristics of the high-speed surface offset press, this paper identifies that the main frame and the blanket cylinder are the key components that affect the printing quality. Therefore, taking the main frame and the blanket cylinder as study objects, the finite element models of the above are established and their static and dynamic characteristics are analyzed by applying the finite element analysis software-ANASYS. The following research results are obtained in this paper:1). The printing components has been analyzed from a kinematic perspective based on the power transmission line of surface offset press. The factors affecting the printing quality of the high-speed surface offset press are analyzed from the aspects of design, precision and load characteristics.2). The finite element model of the main frame is established by APDL language, the loading mode is reasonably determined and the static characteristic analysis is carried out to calculate and check its strength and stiffness. The dynamic performance of the main frame is analyzed and has been found not to satisfy the operating requirements. By improving the main frame structure and the installation mode of accessories of the model, the natural frequency of the frame shows an obvious increase and a favorable performance in the dynamic characteristics.3). The finite element model of the blanket cylinder is set up and its static characteristics are analyzed, proving the strength and stiffness of the cylinder satisfy the operating requirements. Through the modal analysis on the cylinder by simulating the elastic support of bearing with Spring-damper element, the first five natural frequencies and the vibration modes of the blanket are obtained as well as the curve reflecting the relationship between natural frequencies and bearing stiffness. Afterwards, the displacement response curve of the cylinder at the maximum deformation node under transient impact loads is acquired through a transient dynamic analysis on the cylinder. The effects of the bearing stiffness over the dynamic response of the blanket cylinder is analyzed in the above simulation as well.Researches in this paper provide a theoretical basis for improving the performance and the printing quality of the high-speed surface offset press.
